Identity Quotient

Your Identity Quotient (IDQ) is a score ranging from 0 to 32 that measures the strength and flexibility of your Identity within the 7 Skills Identity Model. It reflects how solidly your sense of self holds under pressure – how you see your strengths, how you interpret setbacks, and how you recover from challenge.

Low IDQ (0–10) indicates a fragile, fearful identity: people in this range often feel powerless, focus on avoiding pain, and see their problems as broad and lasting (See also Elevate Formula). A Medium IDQ (10–20) suggests an identity in transition – learning to balance self-belief with adaptability.

High IDQ (20–32) represents a strong, resilient identity: confident, optimistic, healthy, and influential. High-IDQ individuals see their strengths as broad and lasting, and their problems as narrow, fleeting, and external.

Taking the IDQ Questionnaire helps you discover your current level – your starting point for growth along the Identity Model. Developing the 7 Skills to impress™ gradually lifts your IDQ, strengthening both self-belief and adaptability.

The concepts of High and Low Identity Quotient were first introduced in Part 1, Chapters 4 and 5 of The 7 Skills to impress™. (See also 7 Skills Identity Model).
