Internal/External focus is a crucial contributor to Identity, your self-image. It is discussed in Part 1, Chapter 5 of The 7 Skills to impress™ book.

It is also a Persuasion Pathway, discussed in Part 2: Skill 4, “Reveal Persuasion Pathways”.

Internal people draw strength and validation from within. They trust their own judgement over outside opinions. Encouraging an Internal orientation helps clients build resilience and autonomy.
