Outcome
An Outcome is a short, positive statement of what you want to do. Under pressure, it gives your attention a direction and helps you use the capabilities you already have. Make it about the actions, state and behaviour you can control, rather than a result someone else must deliver.
For example, before a difficult question: “I will take a breath, listen and answer clearly.” Identify Your Outcome is Skill 1 of The 7 Skills to impress™ and is taught in Perform Under Pressure.
