Sensory Language

Sensory Language is a Persuasion Pathway. They are covered in Part 2, Chapter 4 of The 7 Skills to impress™ book.

When someone speaks, there are cues hidden in their language that tell you how their mind works and how to influence them. We call these cues ‘Performance Pathways’.

When we channel our messages through Performance Pathways, our ability to influence is magnified many times over.

Sensory Language is a Performance Pathway because when people talk and describe things, they mention what they see, hear, feel and think. People favour one or more of these sensory styles. And when we tailor our language to match our client’s favoured sensory style, we become more persuasive.

Do you know your own sensory style? Try our Sensory Language Test – a quick and revealing exercise that shows how you process your world. The results include full descriptions of each style and how they shape your Edited Reality. Find the test under the ‘Library’ menu here: The 7 Skills App
