Pressure Labs

A person prepares for a demanding conversation, surrounded by sketches of confidence, connection and persuasion.

Four practical courses for the moments you want to handle better.

Perhaps you have come away from a conversation knowing you could have handled it better. You knew what you wanted to say, but nerves got in the way. Or you made one mistake and spent the rest of the day questioning yourself.

Those experiences can start to hold you back. You keep quiet in a meeting, put off a conversation or turn down an opportunity because you don’t want to feel that way again. People don’t see what you can offer, and you do less than you know you could.

Pressure Labs gives you practical ways to change that. You can learn to think clearly when you are challenged, believe in the strengths you already have, build a real connection with someone and put an idea across so they want to hear it. Each course gives you something to practise in your own life, so you can see what changes for you.

Choose the change you want to make

A person responds to an unexpected question in a meeting while colleagues listen.

Perform Under Pressure

Stay calm, think clearly and use your capabilities when it counts.

You know what you can do. This course helps you do it when nerves, scrutiny or the importance of the occasion threaten to get in the way. Learn to recognise your first signs of pressure, manage your response and keep your attention on what you want to achieve. Practise with a real situation of your own, whether that is an interview, a presentation, a difficult conversation or something else you want to handle well.

Six lessons · $9.99 · HPI and selected book chapters included

A person reflects on a difficult result alongside sketches of strengths shown in everyday life.

Bulletproof Confidence

Know your strengths and believe in yourself through setbacks, criticism and mistakes.

A poor result can make you question far more than the thing that went wrong. This course helps you recognise the qualities you have shown in real situations and build a stronger sense of who you are. You will learn from setbacks without letting them define you, and start to carry that belief into the next challenge.

Two people talk at a café table as one listens attentively and the other speaks freely.

Personal Magnetism

Build Rapport, deepen trust and become someone people want to talk to.

You know the feeling of talking with someone who really listens. The conversation becomes easier, you speak more freely and a warmth develops between you. This course teaches you how to help someone else feel that connection with you. You will practise listening to understand, then learn how people make sense of what they hear and what may move them towards saying yes.

A speaker explains an idea to a small group who listen with growing interest.

The Art of Persuasion

Turn resistance into interest and inspire people to say yes.

You can have a sound idea and still struggle to win support. Speechcraft helps you shape your message so people can take it in, picture a possibility they had not considered and want to act on it. You will see how I built a speech for a sceptical rugby squad, one credible step at a time, then build a message for your own audience.

Take all four

The courses build on one another. Perform Under Pressure helps you manage your own response. Bulletproof Confidence strengthens your belief in the person responding. Personal Magnetism helps you connect with other people. The Art of Persuasion gives you ways to make your ideas compelling. You can take any course on its own, in any order. For the best results, I recommend following that sequence.

The four-course collection costs $29.97, saving $9.99 against buying them separately. It includes all four online courses, the shared High Performance Imprinting module and online access to the complete Parts 2 and 3 of The 7 Skills to impress™. Each individual course includes the book chapters relevant to its lessons.

A person rehearses a forthcoming conversation from their own and an observer’s perspective.

Rehearse how you want to respond

Knowing what you want to do is one thing. Doing it when the moment comes is another. High Performance Imprinting, or HPI, helps you rehearse a forthcoming situation through the thoughts, feelings, sounds or images that come naturally to you. You practise responding as you intend, and consider the scene from another perspective too. The full HPI module is included with every course, with guidance on using it for the situation you are working on.

Learn in your own time, then try it in real life

Allow about 10–15 minutes to read and begin each lesson, then look for chances to practise during the week. There is no fixed timetable. Each lesson gives you something specific to try, so an interview, a difficult conversation or an ordinary day can become part of your learning. Your own experience gives the next lesson something to work with.

The courses work on their own. You can complete the exercises without reading the book first. When you want a fuller explanation, the relevant companion chapters are available online with your purchase.

Where these methods come from

As a police firearms commander at hostage and siege incidents, I needed ways to think clearly, connect with people and choose words that could change what happened next. I developed and refined the 7 Skills through that work, then used them while coaching elite athletes and helping people face challenges at work and at home.

The courses draw on those experiences. You will see what people did, what changed and how the Skills helped. Then you can try the methods in a situation of your own and judge the results for yourself.
